Will's Preschool Christmas Party

On the Thursday before Christmas, I took the day off to go to Will's Christmas party. It was a lot of fun. We enjoyed it so much.

Will doesn't get the chance to be the only child and he really enjoyed it.

He got to make is own decorated cookie. He was very proud of it.

The also had lots of tattoos and Will got a bunch if them.

Will got to sit on Santa's lap, but he was sure to tell us that it wasn't the real Santa. He is pretty keen on pointing out the fake Santa's and this one was uber fake.

Will's girlfriend Paityn came in and that made everything even more better. He loves his Paityn.

Abbey's Annual Cookie Swap

One of Abbey's favorite parties to host each year is her cookie swap. Many of her friends also look forward to the good time. This year was no exception.

Ms. Kelsie kept the boys on the day of the cookie swap and Abbey worked at
LifeWay, so we went to pick the boys up at Kelsie's house. We were going to go and hang out with some friends, but they weren't feeling well, so the boys and I headed to Rivergate.

While Abbey finished prepping for the party, the boys and I were at
Chick fil a for a visit with Santa and some chicken nuggets. The boys got to sit on Santa's lap although they were sure to point out to me that it wasn't the real Santa.

Abbey's guests arrived with wonderful looking cookies. One of the crowd favorites were these little chocolate covered cherry mice that Lea brought. While the ladies were chowing down on yummy sweetness, I was crazily taking the boys to Target to let them pick out some toys for Abbey.

Every lady got to choose cookies and vote on their favorites.

The boys picked out some great gifts for their mom. My personal favorite that they chose were the Ninja Turtle panties.

After we were done shopping we headed home. I gave the boys strict rules to go straight upstairs although Reed was desperate to see Mrs. Reeves, his good friend Connor's mom. The boys obeyed well and we went upstairs and played for a little bit.

After bath time, I put Tuck in bed, then the other three boys went to sleep in Will's room. As traditionally happens, I also wen to sleep, however, I had to answer a lot of questions about why the ladies downstairs were so loud.

It certainly sounded like they had a great time.

Pumpkin Party and Running with Pop

Every year, Ms. Candace has her pumpkin party. You are never really sure what all to expect other than food, fun, and pumpkins, and this year was no exception. The boys were thrilled to see a bounce house.

Mrs. Katrina took the kids on a hayride with the four wheeler. The Davidson kids came with us since their parents had other plans for the evening. It was a great party. The boys painted pumpkins and even did a little carving. Since the idea of reaching my hand in a pumpkin makes me sick, I held Tuck.

Sometimes, Will is a real serious kid, but most of the time he is a complete cut-up. I'm not sure where this pic was taken, but it was too good not to share. My guess would be in the car rider line at school while they were waiting for the big boys to get out of school. He does wear clothes, but often takes them off in the car. Oh what a life!

Around Thanksgiving, Nash's class learned all about the pilgrims. He made this cute Pilgrim hat which became infinitely cuter when he put the hat on.
Nash and Will have both been going to speech therapy once a week. Nash to help increase his vocabulary so he doesn't get frustrated and
Will to help pronounce words. They are both doing amazingly and love their speech therapist, Mrs. Kristen. And I do mean love. They beg to go.

On Thanksgiving morning, Abbey and Pop ran the Memphis Turkey Trot. It was Pop's race. The race is 4 miles. They both did great! Abbey was happy to be able to run with her Daddy.

Cupcakes with Mama

The boys have been super busy being very silly. They love cooking with Mama. A few weeks back, they made some yummy Oreo cupcakes.

Will helped put all of the cupcake liners in. He did a very good job at making sure every cup had a liner in.

Nash also got in on the cupcake liner action. Nash is very good at quality control. He wants to make sure that everyone does everything right all the time.

Nash helped mix the batter.

Nash made sure that every cupcake has an Oreo in each liner. It is imperative that you get this part of the recipe correct or it will not be an Oreo cupcake.

Reluctantly, Nash let Will put a few Oreos in. Will is three, so Nash wasn't sure if Will would get it right. He kept a close eye on him.

Sensing there was a possible mess to be made, Reed put down whatever electronic device he was holding to help scoop the batter on top of the perfectly placed Oreos. Yummy. Those cupcakes were delicious.

Tuck's Little 2nd Birthday Party

Tuck's party was back in April when we had our other boys birthday party st the zoo. But we could just let his real birthday come and go without a little get together. Even so, we still had the party two weeks early.

We had lots of good food. Zaxby's chicken tenders, corn, green beans, Mac n cheese, and deviled eggs. Of course, Abbey made an incredibly cute and tasty train cake.

Tuck was not thrilled with his super cute shirt that aunt Ava made him because he is not used to wearing long sleeves.

Tuck had fun dancing around and sharing in the excitement. It was a lot of fun.

Reed, Nash, and Will also loved the festivities.

Tuck gives amazing hugs, so Uncle Bill for him an Elmo that gives hugs.

Pumpkin Patch

Will's preschool went to the pumpkin patch the other day. It was a lot of fun for Abbey and Will.

Will had fun with all of the things to play.

He even got to pick his own little pumpkin.

They went on a hayride around the pumpkin patch and enjoyed spending time with Mailee and Mrs. Kara.

Is he not the cutest little farmer ever?

Painting with Daddy

Last Friday, I took that day off. It was busy day. I got to go to lunch with Reed and Nash and then I came home and painted our front door. I painted the door with a light blue color. It was definitely not the right color but I decided that it worked really good with the adirondack chairs.

Will didn't take a nap, so that meant he was my helper for the painting. It was a mess, but it was a great bonding time. It was so sweet to watch him concentrate on doing a good job.

He painted really hard. He did a great job.

So now, I have painted the front door again and now we have light blue adirondack chairs and a darker blue front door.
