Smiles and Frowns

Today was Reed's first soccer game. Our hopes were not high for him playing although we did think there was a bit of a chance that he would play.

We decided to outside for a little practice this morning.

Nash was rip, roaring, and ready to play all day!

Reed did give the ball a good kick.

And then it was time to go "play" soccer.

This was as close as Reed was willing to get for quite a while.

So we just cheered for Britton, Tate, and Lake.

Coach Todd was trying really hard to get Reed to play, so I went out there with him.

And then brought him back to where he remained for the rest of the game. We're hoping that he will get used to playing by the end of the season.

Enna and Poppy were hoping to get to see Reed in action.

I noticed that Reed was paying Will some attention, so I quickly grabbed the camera and took some pics.

Abbey took the advantage of the big boys and me taking a nap and had an impromptu photoshoot.

Will was looking especially adorable.

Not that we've really ever seen him not adorable.

I think that we are going to attempt to go to church tomorrow. We've really missed our Sunday School classes and I think the boys will appreciate some routine.

This will be the first time for Reed to be at church with his new teacher, so hopefully there won't be any stress there. Nash is going to stick with me and the preteens I'm pretty sure.

Doesn't he look like an old man in this picture?

Enna worked today on a valance for the big boys' room. Then, she added some hooks to the towels for the boys bathroom. Finally, she snuggled with Will because they had to leave soon.

I think that Reed's goal was for Poppy to be completely tired!

They had a lot of fun!

We were all sad to see them leave this evening. Tomorrow Lola will come back to help us out for a couple of days and then we are going to wing it on our own for a while. Next weekend Aunt Ava is coming to meet the boys! We're so excited to see her.
