Beach Update Day 5

We woke up this morning and had pancakes. Uncle Bill made Reed some personalized pancakes.

I was thrilled to be awake.

This is the view from our deck.

Reed loves the view.

This is another view from the deck. The ocean is just beyond those houses. You can see it pretty clearly, but it was cloudy and rainy this morning.

We alternated our normal—wake up, eat breakfast, head to the beach routine—for going to CVS (great deals on glucose monitors this week with Extrabucks!), lunch at Ichiban Japanese Steakhouse, and grocery run.

Reed was impressed.

So were we!

All of that excitement couldn't take Reed away from the true prize. The big blue balloon at the car dealership next door.

When we came back, it was time for a quick nap and then we headed to the beach.

I've heard from a few people that our straw hats are not too sexy. That's okay, we don't have sun in our eyes!

Reed rides on the cart to the beach.

I carry the chairs, Uncle Bill pulls the cart, and Abbey takes pictures.

We then set up the chairs and get the umbrellas out.

Reed starts looking for shells to throw into the ocean.

Today, he found two giant jellyfish that were dead in the sand.

Thankfully, he didn't get stung.

It was windy today. Click on the picture above to see Uncle Bill chase an umbrella.

I worked on the kite.

It spun in circles!

Reed loves the beach.

Uncle Bill built sandcastles that Reed would destroy.

EVERY TIME!

Our condo is in the background.

The kite was wild!

So was the wind!

Reed called this his kite.

But, who needs a beach when you have a mirror?

I like your beach. It looks nice and warm. On the beach I visited last weekend, it was long sleeves and pants weather. I should have a blog post up about it soon enough...

Where are the other people? Your pictures make it look like you have your own private beach. Glad you're having fun!
