Almost Home

We left Poppy and Enna's house today. We were sad to leave, but glad to be headed north towards home!

We arrived at our half-way point, Lola and Pop's house around 4:15.

Pop shot a few hoops with Reed.

We went to Logan's for the world's slowest service and then it was time to come home and get ready for bed.

I caught Lola by surprise!

Reed likes playing with his Mama's old bath toys.

He's going to really like being home!

From the Sick House

Abbey and my mom are sick with some sort of virus. We're trying to keep from getting it.

Last night, Dad and Reed played a game.

The game consisted of Reed throwing the ball, laughing hysterically, and then dad reaching for the ball and using anything around him to try to get it.

Reed thought it was a hoot.

Tonight the game was similar, except it involved some balloons we got at chick-fil-a at lunch when Reed and I met up with Aunt Ava.

Reed has been extra sweet today.

We went to Old Navy after lunch and then home for a long nap. We're hoping that Abbey and mom are coming out of their virus and that we are not going to get it!

In Her Mama and Daddy's Arms!!

You must go over and check out Hannah Claire! She is finally in her Mama and Daddy's arms. They are so deserving and we are SO excited for them! Congratulations Kevin, Sarah, and Hannah Claire! Life as you know it will never be the same!

Another Day at Enna and Poppy's House

Reed and Joshi woke up playing and having fun.

Is this not the sweetest little face in the world?

Excuse my bad hair and look at my sweet niece!

Reed looks a little scared in this picture with his Uncle Bobby and cousin Joshi.

Look what happens when Enna and Poppy are in charge. Reed plays in the kitchen behind their backs!

We all went to church this morning, but Aunt Aly had to go and finish out the books for her old job. We are so glad that she finally has a job in the same town that that live in!

Reed looked everywhere for someone to open his candy cane. He asked everyone in the room, but got no help.

Until he remembered that Poppy was in the room. BINGO!

Joshi and her daddy posed for a pic.

Uncle Bobby loves Reedy. We sure wish that Uncle Trae could have been home for Christmas this year!

Reed loved on "Blackie," Enna's stuffed puppy dog puppet.

True to his normal self, Reed had to do some sweeping! He loves to sweep.

and talk ... Man does he like to talk!

Reed taught Joshi how to sweep and use the dustpan. She sure is lucky to have such a smart big cousin.

"I'm the king of the world!"

Isn't it amazing how God brought Reed to our family? Just think about the joy that he has brought to our entire family, all of our friends, and many blog readers.

Reed loves to play on the big wheel that Enna and Poppy have at their house.

He might be a BMXer one day.

Or at tractor driver.

Spoilt!

This morning, we woke up and Reed had some delicious sausage balls that Aunt Ava baked.

Uncle Brookie helped Reed practice his Michael Jordan moves.

We went to eat at "Cock of the Walk" came home and relaxed, then it was time to head to Poppy and Enna's house.

Aunt Aly was excited to see Reed.

Reed was excited to see more presents.

Joshi and Reed discovered that Poppy and Enna had gotten them some Christmas presents.

Reed loved the slide that he got.

It was a lot of fun.

Reed and Joshi played on the slide.

Enna had fun, too.

Reed also played with his remote control CAT tractor.

Poppy is feeling a little "cruddy" so he was quiet.

Enna got Britty a Christmas present, but Reed was too busy with his slide to hold it for a picture.

Enna made Abbey an apron.

Christmas is so much fun with kids.

Joshi and Reed had a sucker.

They loved them.

Then we went to check out Enna's playhouse. Her new "sewing" room behind their house.

It is really cute.

Then we had to go and see Papa in the hospital.

Reed and Joshi rode in the wheelchair.

Reed was so sweet to Papa.

Unfortunately, Reed and Joshi couldn't go back to Papa's room, so we had to take pictures at the door. It was hard to see Papa in poor health. Reed was so sweet to him. He gave him knuckles, a five, and said, "Lub you." Of course, I had to pass Reed off and go to the prayer room and regain my composure.

Remind me to make sure that my brother OPENS his eyes in the next picture!

Joshi and Reed had a blast playing in the waiting room.
