Mommy's Surprise and It's Really Close!

Mommy is glowing and it's not just because of the new bling she has around her neck. Her "mommy glow" is in full strength this morning. We hardly slept a wink! We woke up and watched TV. They have lots of English channels.

At 2:30, Abbey asked me if I was awake? I, of course, said "Yes." Then I asked her if she wanted a surprise. That is when I gave her the necklace. I just couldn't wait for her to find it on her own.

I just had to post the above picture. I left it out of the "nesting" blog. Abbey even remembered to bring a plug-in nightlight.

Well, there's really nothing to report except that we are about to go eat breakfast, then get in the car and head to Feng Yuan. Needless to say our adrenaline is pumping and our hearts are racing like Junior's (pronounced June - yurrrrr) right before winning the Daytona 500. I just had to post that because Abbey is determined that Reed will talk like her and not me!

Words can not express the excitement I have for you guys. I have been thinking about you all day. I remember the first time I saw Britton and how much love I have for him. I can't wait for you guys to get Reed and hold him in your arms, there is nothing like it! We love you guys and are praying for you each step of the way.

Britton's saying "goo, gaa, maa, ehhh!" I think he's saying he can't wait to meet his friend Reed!

Love you guys!

Jeff and Abbey,
Praise God from whom all blessings flow! Yes, He has provided such a bundle of a blessing for you and Abbey ... while at the same time, you two have blessed so many people in "sharing your story of patience, humbleness, persistency, and most importantly, faith and trust in the Lord. There is no telling who you may have touched or the seed which may have been planted for His glory through your experiences! We can't wait to see Reed and just want you to know that you THREE continue to be in our thoughts and prayers! (And by the way, Abbey, you've "trained" Jeff well ... in all seriousness, what a beautiful necklace to symbolize the beautiful wife and mother Jeff knows you are and will be. That is very special!) Love you three, Aunt Jean and Uncle Steve

I AM SO EXCITED!!!

And you're right, Abbey certainly is glowing, and while the bling does add a certain glow to her, I am sure it has EVERYTHING to do with meeting Reed very very soon!!!

We're thinking of you...

Alright guys, I know that you thought you could just leave me here with no technology but I have found my own way of pulling up your blog. I just want you to know that you all are looking so happy and so adventuresome. What I REALLY want to see is the "fuller" edition of me!!! When oh, when are you going to finally post a picture of Real Reed. The whole world is waiting to see my lookalike. You know, I just know that you aren't through with me and that you are going to publish our adventures for my buddy Reed to read. Hey, those two words sound alike. Afterall, I have paved the way for him. What would you two have done without me to keep you occupied. AND you might have thought my getting sprinkled in the yard was funny, but I never quite got over that shriveled up feeling. Anyway, Enna and I talked all of this over tonight and while we are waiting to get pictures, because she is a real basket case, wanting to see REED....we decided to pen this note to you. Tra was in on it too. Please know that I have loved every minute of keeping you occupied through this adoption process.......and please.....if you put me in a shadow box....will you please have a door on it so Reed and I can play. Love, Flat Reed. (typed for Flat Reed by Enna)

I must have checked this blog 50 times in the last several hours. I keep wondering, "Do they have him?" over and over. I want to sleep -- post soon. :-)
