Contractions

"Hoo, Hoo, Hee." "Hoo, Hoo, Hee."

This breathing technique they taught me in adoption classes is not working.

We are in full swing labor, our paper pregnancy is almost over. We are about to have our son, well, in about 10 hours.

I went to bed and slept for what seems like hours, but must have been minutes. Mommy, on the other hand, was smart and wore herself completely slap out, and is fast asleep in her nest. She is making sure to have plenty of energy when chickadee is under her wing.

"Hoo, Hoo, Hee." "Hoo, Hoo, Hee."

Nope, still not working. Somebody get me an epidural.

I've never watched a clock more closely than I am today. Everybody at church asked what we were hearing, and I was honored to get to give ALL the details you've supplied us with these past three days.

You know the verse of how exceedingly abundantly God does things (don't have time to look it up), but that was what came to my mind as I saw these absolutely gorgeous pictures and read of all your adventures that will supply you with awesome memories of this time. God's goodness in giving Reed to you and you to Reed is wonderful, but just look at all He's allowed you to experience in addition to this. WHAT A MIGHTY GOD WE SERVE!

Well, the clock is ticking, and I'm getting more and more nervous by the hour. I spent seven long hours working in our new house yesterday, and the entire time was spent wondering what y'all were doing. Thanks for letting us share this as you've given us such vivid descriptions and great pictures. We love you all!

Jeff and Abbey, you should have heard daddy preach about what a KISS is today!!! His description of the best one is that wonderful sugar that he hopes to get right under that soft spot on Reed's neck that is so full love!!!! He told the church that my cell phone was by my side as I awaited excitedly to hear from you all, if possible. We are having labor with you and I really got scared this afternoon as I made it to the other side of Jackson somehow in a dreamworld and was parked in front of a Gymboree. The whole trip over I was so focused on youall that I had not concentrated on where I was going. Gotta be a little more careful....Huh? I love, love, love you all and I feel so blessed that God allowed me to have you as my son. What a treasure as you will soon see. Love, mOM

I can't stand the wait! It's making me crazy! I love all the photos and the updates. What a beautiful necklace - I will have to be sure my DH checks it out too. ;-)
You can be sure I will be running straight to my computer when I wake up tomorrow.
Am on pins and needles here waiting for you all to meet the 3D version of Reed.
