Flat Reed: I'm Coming Home!

It was not expected really (ha!), but all of a sudden in my inbox there appeared an email from our caseworker saying "Good News." When we opened it, it said, "Your final ruling has come today. Please plan to be in Taiwan on September 9, your AIT appointment is Septmber 11."

We were crying like two babies. Apparently, 4 months and 3 weeks worth of looking at the baby boy who stole our hearts is a long time to wait on getting our baby. It also kind of makes me wonder what we are going to do when we actually get to hold him!

We celebrated by a trip to Dairy Queen!

We're so excited. Please pray specifically for:

1. Our travel details.
2. That Reed's little heart will be prepared to accept us as his forever caregivers and that his anxiety will be low. He has no idea what he's getting into, but he's one lucky little guy if I do say so myself.

It's getting close to the Flat family's exit! Check out the lilypie ticker!

I have chill bumps all over my body after seeing this post!!! I am so incredibly happy for the two of you--no, wait the THREE of you! Reed is truly one lucky little boy to have two parents who have wanted and prayed for him as diligently as the two of you have. I cannot even begin to imagine how elated you are knowing that your son will be in your arms very soon! Your FAMILY will be in our thoughts and prayers as the final countdown begins!! May God continue His wonderful blessings on you all!!
Love,
Brooke

One lucky little guy, I'll say. How can you get any luckier than having parents who really know how to celebrate--DQ celebration is the very best. By the way, Abbey, how was that waffle bowl sundae? Sure hope you enjoyed every bite of those surely-to-goodness, real-roasted pecans! JUST A HINT: It may be the last time you get to eat the whole thing by yourself.

Couldn't be happier for two nicer people. What awaits you is indescribable!!!!!
